Alistair, from the Anti Academy Alliance  answers parents' questions at the 100 plus gathering on Saturday lunchtime in Oxted about Academy status for their town's school. Teachers and non teaching school staff Trade Unions were represented on the platform along with organisers of the parents group. Parents and past parents
seriously question what is happening in Oxted secondary school at the moment with a proposal to become a Foundation school on the route to converting to Academy status soon after.
An overwhelming show of hands for demanding a ballot for parents about academy status and a call to sign the petition ended the meeting at 1.20pm.
