The 2016 Annual General Meeting of SOSiS will be held on
Thursday 7th April
at 7.30pm in
Staines Community Centre:
Thames St, Staines-upon-Thames, Staines, Middlesex TW18 4EA
At this meeting we will conduct the annual business and elect a Secretary, Chair, Vice Chair and Treasurer. We can also elect a Youth Officer and a Communications Officer.
We are proposing to elect a steering committee, which will meet regularly (meetings will still be open to all but we feel a named committee would be useful to run the organisation and make decisions). The steering committee would be the elected officers plus anyone elected via the AGM.
If you would like to stand for any post and/or be elected to the Steering Committee please let me know by reply before 1st April. I would particularly ask all our affiliated trade unions and residents associations to consider nominating a representative from your organisation to sit on the Steering Committee.
Once the formal business has been carried out, we will discuss a range of issues including:

- The forced Academisation of our schools - what response in Surrey?
- Updates on the NHS and Junior Doctors
