Please make every effort to come to this important annual meeting. We are holding it in Woking (as central in Surrey as we can).
At this meeting we will have a chance to review what we have done over the past year or so, with the Fire Service Cuts campaign, the NHS campaigns and the various other campaigns we have been involved with.
We will also be deciding on priorities and strategy for the next 12 months and key to this will be the general election and local borough council elections (in some areas). How SOSiS intervenes in these elections will be a crucial part of our work next year.
We will also be electing to the key posts in SOSiS (those people who keep things going between meetings and events):
Secretary: Currently Paul Couchman (UNISON)
Chairperson: Currently vacant
Treasurer: Currently Thelma Snelgrove (PCS)
Communications Officer: Currently vacant
Organising Committee: Not currently active
Please consider whether you would be willing and interested in any of these roles and/or being part of a small organising committee. If you are keen, please contact us asap.
