Since the conference was called, the cost of living crisis has hit and workers are beginning to fight back through their trade unions. As a result, we are going to concentrate on the People's Budget in the morning and use the afternoon as a solidarity rally, inviting speakers from the various trade unions currently in dispute, balloting etc. This will be a good local follow up after the National Shop Stewards Network rally in Brighton on 11th September https://shopstewards.net/activate/events/

We have a growing number of submissions from trade unions, political parties and individuals regarding what should be in a people's budget for the County and District Councils but there is still time to send in your suggestions. Please just email saveourservicessurrey.org.uk.
