We are meeting at Sunbury Fire Station at 11.30am next Saturday 7 December. We will be walking behind a Fire Engine (courtesy of the Fire Brigades Union). We will walk up the A308 towards Staines, turn right at the BP garage and up through Ashford Town Centre, over the railway bridge and on to Staines Fire Station (opposite Ashford Hospital).
This is a long march so please wear sensible shoes and warm clothing. We will have plastic rain macs to give out if it rains.
If you want to come but the march will be too long for you - why not meet us in Ashford Town Centre (about 1pm - 1.30pm) with your placards/banners or even at the final rally opposite Ashford Hospital (2pm - 2.30pm).
Does anyone have access to a minibus or coach to help take people back to Sunbury? There are local buses but let us know if you can help.
The March has been on the front page of the local newspapers a few times now. Here is this weeks Staines Informer:

Our online petition now has over 400 signatures. You can sign it here:

We also have nearly 500 signatures on our paper petition.
Lets have one last push to make this a demonstration which Surrey County Council cannot ignore - print the attached flyer and get it up in shops, GP surgeries, Churches, Community Centres. If you need printed posters/flyers please let us know and we can drop some to you.
See also here our open letter to both the Leader of the Council and the Fire Authority. If you agree with this letter please also send your own copy to them.
People of Spelthorne - WE CAN WIN THIS.
Surrey County Council has already postponed the decision. We were due to lobby the Cabinet when they made the decision on 17th December but they will now not decide till their meeting on 4th February 2014 - save this date as we will almost certainly be lobbying (If they haven't already changed their mind by then).
See you all on Saturday
